New deadline for submissions : July 31, 2010

Building up on the success of the previous editions of the conference "En route vers Lisbonne" in 2004, 2006 and 2008, we are pleased to announce the fourth edition of this bi-annual conference named this time "Luxembourg 2020".

The event will take place on December 7, 8 & 9, 2010 in Luxembourg, at the Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor.

This seminar is held under the patronage of Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and is supported by the Observatoire de la compétitivité, the Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor and the Central Service for Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC).

The goal of the conference is to promote the exchange of ideas among economists conducting researches and analysis for policy and decision-making in the public and private sector. The conference will cover all areas of applied modeling in economics, politics and development. As in previous editions, this conference intends to be an open forum, a meeting between researchers and policy makers, an arena of scientific analysis confrontation, a place for debates and proposals.

Having such goals, this conference is open to any speaker and to any methodological, disciplinary and intervention field.

A great number of speakers, growing constantly from one edition to the next one, from both Luxembourg and abroad: scholars, academics, members of the Luxembourg government or international organizations, participated in various roundtables and sessions in 2004, 2006 and 2008. The Organizing Committee hopes that this year the number of participants will increase again.
